Sibling Showdown: Travis and Jason Kelce Take the Field on Christmas Day for NFL Face-Off

While many families are unwrapping gifts under the Christmas tree, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, are gearing up to hit the NFL field on Christmas Day.

Travis, 34, and the Chiefs are set to host the Las Vegas Raiders, while 36-year-old Jason and the Eagles prepare to face off against the New York Giants.

Despite the unconventional holiday plans, Travis expressed excitement about the upcoming games in an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, stating, “It will be a fun one.”

Known for attending both of her sons’ games on the same day, Donna Kelce faces a scheduling challenge this Christmas.

The Chiefs kick off at 1 p.m. ET, with the Eagles following a few hours later at 4:30 p.m. on Christmas.

Although Travis didn’t disclose his mom’s holiday agenda, he revealed that the Kelce family plans to celebrate Christmas on a later date, once their games conclude.

“My brother sent me a text and said he’s going to be celebrating afterwards,” Travis shared, confirming his own post-game festivities.

While spending Christmas with his brother, Travis expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of Chiefs Kingdom, noting, “The kingdom always travels. We always travel well.”

A two-time Super Bowl winner, Travis Kelce has been in the spotlight during the 2023 season for his relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift.

Reflecting on Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, where the Chiefs secured a 27-17 victory, Travis acknowledged the dedicated fans who supported the team.

“It’s always a luxury playing for Kansas City — home and away,” he added.

During the game, Swift, 34, cheered on Travis from a suite at Gillette Stadium, accompanied by her father, Scott Swift, and Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The trio showcased their team spirit in Chiefs gear.

In a noteworthy moment during the third quarter, Swift expressed visible frustration over a no-call involving Patriots player Myles Bryant.

Kelce, similarly dismayed by the non-call, gestured towards the referees. Despite the controversy, the Chiefs successfully turned the drive into a scoring opportunity, securing a seven-point lead with a field goal.

Following the game, Travis Kelce learned of Swift’s passionate reaction to the play.

Myles Bryant, reflecting on the incident, expressed understanding, stating, “It’s a high-stakes game. People get real into it, so it’s cool. It’s cool she’s into it.”

The Chiefs’ victory over the Patriots marked a positive turn after a two-game losing streak, and the team looks forward to their Christmas Day matchups with the support of their dedicated fan base.
